FADED DNB
TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective October 25, 2026
These Terms cover your use of fadeddnb.com, including Faded Archives, DJ profiles, likes, and anything else you post on the site. The site is run by Faded DnB (the Faded Crew drum & bass collective, St. Louis, Missouri). By creating an account or submitting a mix, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. Who can join
- Faded Archives is open to DJs of all ages.
- If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they should read these Terms with you.
- If you're under 13, a parent or guardian must create and manage the account for you.
2. Your account
- Give accurate info and keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person per account. Don't pretend to be another DJ, crew, label or brand.
- DJ names are first come, first served. We may change or remove a DJ name that impersonates someone, is offensive, or is misleading.
3. Your mixes stay yours
You keep all rights to your mixes and profile. Your mix is hosted on SoundCloud, Mixcloud or YouTube; Faded Archives only plays it through that service's player and links back to it.
By submitting, you give Faded DnB a free, non-exclusive permission to show and play your mix, mix title, DJ name, photo, bio and links on fadeddnb.com, and to share or promote them on Faded's social media, newsletter and Faded Mag. This lets us feature your work; it doesn't transfer ownership. It ends when you delete the mix or profile, except for posts already shared before you deleted it.
4. Music rights are your responsibility
DJ mixes usually contain other artists' music. By submitting, you confirm you're allowed to share the mix on the service where it's hosted and that it follows that service's rules. If the host service takes your mix down, it will stop playing here too.
5. Approval and removal
Every mix is reviewed by the Faded Crew before it goes live. We can decline, unpublish or remove any mix, profile or account at any time, for any reason or no reason, including content that breaks these Terms.
6. What's not allowed
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, or attacks on anyone.
- Sexual, violent or graphic images in profile photos, names or titles.
- Spam, fake accounts, or links that aren't your mix.
- Faking likes or using multiple accounts to boost a mix.
- Anything illegal, or uploading someone else's mix as your own.
7. Your public profile
Once your first mix is approved, your DJ profile becomes public: anyone, including search engines like Google, can see your DJ name, city, crew, bio, photo, social link and live mixes. Your email address is never shown. Don't put private info (home address, phone number) in your profile.
8. Your info
We use your email and account details to run your account, review your submissions and contact you about them. We don't sell your personal information.
9. Copyright complaints
If you believe something on Faded Archives uses your work without permission, email archives@fadeddnb.com with a link to the mix and an explanation. We'll review it and remove it if needed.
10. Deleting your stuff
You can edit or delete your mixes any time from My Account. To delete your whole account, email archives@fadeddnb.com.
11. No guarantees
The site is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that your mix will be featured. To the fullest extent the law allows, Faded DnB isn't liable for any loss or damage from using the site, and our total liability is limited to $0, since the service is free. Third-party services (SoundCloud, Mixcloud, YouTube) have their own terms, and we're not responsible for them.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new Terms.
13. Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA.
